We planned, what seems to be, our annual weekend getaway to Kansas City. Grandma and Garna took turns caring for the girls as we headed for a weekend away with Carrie and Sergio.
We had our Carrabba's dinner in the plan but also a couple other places we wanted to try that we have heard about from others. It might seem like we ate a lot and we did....Above is Oklahoma Joe's Barbecue located in a gas station. We waited in line for almost an hour. But it was well worth the trip and wait...yummy bbq!
We left OJoes and checked in the hotel and walked around Crown Center. We actually got some Christmas shopping done, yay!
And then back up to the hotel to get ready for...
Carrabba's!! Yummy as usual. Wine, mussels and chicken Bryan oh my.
After Carrabba's we went to check out Power and Light District. Neat but we just wanted somewhere to sit and have a relaxing fun evening. No luck though...we need to research some hot spots for next time.

We got up Sunday morning grabbed breakfast at Bread Co. and then headed over to Country Club Plaza for some shopping. Lot of great stores but not enough time.
Lastly, we ate lunch at Blanc Burgers and Bottles, a recommendation from nephew Eric. Neat place, yummy gourmet burgers and lots of beers to choose from.
We enjoyed the weekend. We missed the girls a lot but it was also fun to get to spend some time enjoying the things we like to do. We also really like KC. It is a nice city. Clean and safe in the parts we have explored.
