Yay, for an Ice Day!

As soon as the forecast predicted icy precipitation I was already dreaming of what my day would entail. I would begin with laziness on the couch as long as Lu would allow and then Christmas cookie baking after lunch. Ahhh...and then the beautiful sound of a phone ringing at 5:45 a.m.. Thank you Dr. Borchers for making such a wise decision and my teammate Amanda for telling me to prepare my white board at school with Friday's date! My day is complete! We were lazy, we ran out to the store safely for some baking goods and then back in time for Christmas cookie baking! Lucy was a wonderful help. She sat an unwrapped an entire bag of Hershey kisses minus the dozen that I helped with. I couldn't believe she sat that long and she only snacked on two along the way! Of course it would of been more if I would of let her.
I missed this Christmas tradition last year due to moving into our home, celebrating Christmas, packing up again and leaving for a cruise. I am feeling a little more complete this year and I am so glad I have my Little Lu to share these wonderful Christmas traditions with.
