Summer time happenings

Lucy and I enjoyed another performance by Babaloo.  The library offers a free show every year.  It is a fun interactive time.
Yeah, so it is nice to be able to grocery shop during the day to get it done but not fun taking both kids!  I gave in and let Lucy have the fun cart.  It is summer right?  Everything has to be fun in the summer.  They loved it.  The gross part...Charley had her mouth all over it and Lucy was acting like a crazy monkey.  I couldn't get down the aisles fast enough.  Can't say we will be having that kind of fun again.
We just finished up a week of swimming lessons.  Lucy cried on our way there the first day.  Why, not quite sure.  Probably just nervous.  After the first day she had her suit on in the 6 o'clock hour asking frequently, When is it time to go to swimming lessons?  Debated putting her in again next week.  Charley went too but I don't have any pictures because it was a baby/mommy class.  She was not feeling well most of the time but enjoyed floating the most.  Come on...I was hoping she would get a workout.

Swimming

Yesterday was Charley's first swimming experience and our first swim of the season. Charley cried a bit at first but then ended up enjoying a relaxing float in her floaty with some toys.  Swimming lessons start in a couple of weeks.  Lucy will be doing her own lessons with the instructor much like last year and Charley and I will be doing the baby class.  Yay, it is summer!!

Lucy Day

A couple weeks back Lucy had Family Fun Day at school.  Jeremy and I decided to take the day off work to go and then also make it a much needed Lucy day of fun.  So after Family Fun Day we headed to Crown Candy for lunch and then to the City Museum.

This picture above shows Lucy's really cool face painting she got at school!

I have to admit I was afraid we brought Lucy to City Museum a little too young and was questioning a refund.  She was very timid at first.  Jeremy and I wore ourselves out at first trying to get her to try this and to try that.  Towards the end we were chasing Lucy as she couldn't wait to do something else.  She ended up having a great time!
Check out this cool picture above...see Jeremy in the distance below.

It was a memorable day!
